The Maglan Friends Foundation (a registered nonprofit organization) was established on November 24, 2006, by alumni of the Maglan Commando Unit. Since its founding, the Foundation has served as a warm home for its alumni members – combat soldiers and combat support personnel in active duty, career service, reserve duty, and veterans.
The Foundation’s mission is to build and nurture a cohesive, active and supportive community. It provides members with the tools to integrate into Israeli society, take on leadership roles, and make meaningful contributions, all while preserving the core values and heritage of the Maglan Unit.
In addition, the Foundation supports the Unit’s alumni and their families, assisting them both in daily life and at pivotal moments.
The Maglan Friends Association serves as an umbrella organization and a warm home for thousands of Maglan Unit alumni — combat soldiers and combat support personnel, past and present, in active duty and in the reserves.
